You want a status report?
For the past [subjectively long period of time, might be 20 minutes, might be an hour] we’ve been thinking very intensely about something, we can’t remember what, but until a moment ago it seemed important, complex and necessarily somewhat disturbing. Now that [moment / mood / train of thought / unspecified amount of time] has passed, however, there is a growing sense that whatever we were thinking about didn’t actually make sense. Just a stream of detached strong impressions, like a dream, but we were conscious.
Um, right. What should we do now?
My suggestion would be: sit down, get comfy, and watch the room gently float.
